JANAMASHTAMI CELEBRATION

The pious festival of Janamashtami was celebrated with great religious fervour at the Stephens International Public School. The students were enlightened as they enjoyed small clips on the life of Lord Krishna. The school Director, Ms. Satvinder Saini blessed the students on this auspicious occasion. Colour was brought to the occasion with children dressed in fancy clothes resembling mythological character. The celebration comprised of mirthful performances by the tiny tots including Krishna Aarti, Garba dance, enchantments of Hari Naam and speech on the life of Lord Krishna and his teachings to the mankind marked the informative phase of the celebration. Bhajans and Shalokas were recited to infuse in the students spirit of spirituality and religious sentiments. The school campus decorated with peacock feathers, kites, flutes, swings, flowers and floral pottery pots gave a festive look. The most pleasing moments were the enactment of the students showing the various incidents related with the birth of Lord Krishna. Laudable Principal, Mr. Manoj Agnihotri and Dean Academics, Ms. Rama Jamwal cherished the efforts put in by the teachers and gleefully presented by the students. Special attraction of today’s celebration was Kite Flying Competition in which students of classes VI to XII participated. Students of primary section marched through the premises dressed as Radha and Krishna spreading the message of brotherhood and peace. On the whole it was a day full of enjoyment and information.
